Not only is this the first book in what appears to be a new cozy series, but it’s also the first book that I have read from this author. This book was just too cute. I like to read all sorts of genres and every now and again I like to read the cozy mysteries. They are a light read, with hardly any thinking involved, no blood, guts, or violence in them, and this book is no exception.

Galmadriel isn’t like any other angel. Not quite human, yet not fully an angel. After an incident that saves her friends, Galmadriel wakes up on earth right as a food truck is about to hit her. She tries to stop the foodtruck with her powers, but discovers she doesn’t have them anymore. She realizes that this is her “fall from grace”. With no way to communicate with her superiors, Galmadriel is basically on her own, and is now having to learn how to live on earth. Pam, the food truck owner befriends her and gives her a job and shelter. It was fun to watch Galmadriel deal with simple things like a coffee maker, cooking food, and all the earthly things that she hadn’t encounter before. But the two things that Galmadriel does is tries to solve the mystery of who killed her neighbor and the mystery of a little boy that was killed in a hit and run.

I enjoyed the characters so much I wished they were my neighbors. The author did a good job on developing the characters, the plot, and delivering the story. Over all a well written, fun, entertaining, full of surprises, fast paced book. This is one book that you would want to read in one sitting, as it is just a fun and exciting book, that you will find yourself chuckling over.
